Notes about Albert Tecklenburg

Wahrscheinlich einem illegitimen Sproß des Grafen von Tecklenburg entstammend, kam Albert Tecklenburg um 1610 nach Hagen, um hier das Amts des Küsters und Organisten zu bekleiden. Sein Sohn Johannes, der ihm im Amt folgte und auch als Lehrer tätig war, heiratete 1652 Anna Kniepmeyer. Er war ein angesehener Mann, der auch Immobiliengeschäfte tätigte. Mit seinen zwölf Kindern sorgte er für die Verbreitung des Namens Tecklenburg im hiesigen Raum.
