Op 16 februari 1794 (Maria van Peer) en op 18 april 1797 (Jacobus van Peer) worden er te Rucphen 'bastaard' kinderen gedoopt van Jacobus van Peer en Willemijna Heeren. De vraag is welke Jacobus van Peer de vader was van deze kinderen. Er zijn de volgende mogelijkheden:

1) Jacobus Jansse van Peer, gedoopt op 9 maart 1738 te Rucphen.

2) Jacobus Walterus van Peer, gedoopt op 11 februari 1755 te Etten.
