Op 27 oktober 1744 leent hij 1000 gulden tegen 3% van Mathias Adams uit Heel. Als onderpand zet hij zijn gronden in Ophoven. Not. Van Reij (1718 1734) f. 137 akte 132.

Op 16 mei 1746 leent hij 500 gulden tegen 4% van Hendrik Adams.Onderpand zijn goederen in Ophoven en Geistingen. Not. Van Reij. f. 61 akte 60.

In 1749 leende hij, wonend op de Hoogstraat, 250 gulden. Als onderpand zet hij zijn huis op de Hoogstraat in Thorn en gronden onder Ophoven.

      Hij werd gevonden met overgesneden keel, badend in zijn bloed, in de slaapkamer boven tussen 8 en 9 uren 's avonds. De pastoor noteert bovendien dat hij al jaren bekend stond als overspannen (phreticus) waarvoor hij viermaal achtereen bij de Cellenbroeders te Maastricht werd opgesloten.
