In de oorlog opgepakt door de Duitsers. Op 26 juni 1944 in doorgangskamp Amersfoort geplaatst en op 13 juli 1944 op transport gezet naar GAA Sachsen AA in Leipzig. Hier heeft hij wapens voor de Duitsers moeten maken. Na de oorlog is hij bevrijd en weer naar Nederland gekomen.
