<br>LifeSketch: Every child I know Loves Christmas morning -
You always feel SO excited and EXTRA sleepy on Christmas Day because of the anticipation!!!
      ******************************************************************************
My 4 year old Christmas began just like that, as I raced my younger sister to the tree. It was just getting light outside, and the decorated tree was so beautiful when the lights were on.
      “Now, where are my presents?!!!!”
      YEAH!!!
We had matching baby dolls, my Sister Carol and I, all dressed in their homemade clothes with crochet hats, blankets, booties and a sweater! Her dolls were always dressed in pink, and mine were blue!
      I WAS SO HAPPY!
Suddenly I heard a big noise, and looked down to see my beautiful, new BABY, on the floor – with a broken head!!!!! She had fallen off my lap!
I cried and cried, not knowing how I could ever be happy again!!!
After sobbing for a while, I got tired of being sad and looked up to see my “last year Dolly” dressed in the beautiful new clothes.
Mama had washed her dirty face, combed her matted hair, and dressed her in the beautiful clothes.
I already had loved her for a year, and, she looked new in the blue outfit, and felt so comfortable in my lap.
I hope I thanked my Mama; I knew, by the look on my face, that she was happy for the solution she had been able to find to help fix my horrible ‘year of Christmas sadness’!
I, also, hope I thanked my Mama for my extra special gift that year of knowing through love, all can be fixed!
