Hij is  vernoemd naar de voornamen van  zijn beider opa's aan vader en moeders kant.

namelijk rombout en Paulus.

 

Rombout Paulus heeft ook in de Mijnen gewerkt van Zuid Limburg. Waarschijnlijk in de buurt van Schaeberg (D'r Sjeet).

 

Hier was rond 1900 een mijwerkerskolonie waar de mijnwerkers mochtenwoonen:  De Leenhof. Dit is nu een monument en bestaat nog steeds.

Er waren meerdere delen van De Leenhof, namelijk Leenhof 1/ 2 /3 en 4.

In Schaeberg zelf was er een mijn met de naam: Schaeberg 2. Alle gegevens van die mijn zijn overgegaan in de jaren 80 naar een bedrijf:

De Oranje Nassau groep. Daar zou ook nog een archief zijn met foto's van vroeger.

 Maar hij zou ook gewerkt kunnen hebben in de Maurits-mijn.

Hij was getrouwd met Sophia Rozeboom in Schaesberg, Limburg en woonde later op Valkenheide.

Hier had hij een baan als onderwijzer, en gaf les in electrotechniek, voor moeilijk opvoedbare kinderen.

Later ging zijn zoon Willem ook iets degelijks doen en werd: Electro- technisch ingenieur.

het huis bestaat nog steeds en heeft met wat kleine verbouwingen nu nummer 38./ 37

Er was een museum op Valkenheide tot 2014. Hier heeft Anny kerstens nog enkele familie zaken wtene te achterhalen. Het Museum is leeggehaald.

Het archief is in 2014 opgedeeld en naar: Beeldbank Maarn, Archief wijk bij Duurstede, Leerhuis de Valkenburcht en regionaal Historisch Cenrtum zuid-oost utrecht.
