Corrie Foppes-Arendz (1923) schrijft over haar overgrootvader Johann Heinrich Pentermann: Hij was een zoon van Gerth Heinrich Pentermann en Catharina Maria Jungling. In zijn tijd migreerden veel Duitse jonge mannen (met het manufacturiers pak op de rug naar Nederland (Denk b.v. aan de gebroeders C(lemens)en A(ugust)Brenninkmeyer, de Vromen en de Dreesmanns etc. Met (over)grootvader Johnan Heinrich reisde zijn broer Hermann Heinrich en later voegde zich daarbij broer Rudolph. Hermann Heinrich vestigde zich te Uithuizen en Rudolph in Zijldijk. Uit het huwelijk met Geertje Romelingh zijn drie kinderen geboren:twee dochtertjes: TITIA en CATHARINA. Zij zijn jonggestorven. De zoon: LUBBERTUS PATROCLUS, werd onze grootvader.
