Lubbertus werd op 31 augustus 1638 ingeschreven als student te Groningen. "Ao 1638 die 31 aug. Lubbertus Wilhelmi Beckeringh Phil. Stud. Omland".

Tussen 1644 - 1676 stond hij als Predikant te Sauwerd.
In de kerk te Sauwert, voor de Preekstoel, is een grafzerk waarop te lezen staat:
"Lubb. Wilh. Beckering Pastor in Sawert stierf 10 janu. 1676. Van 't leven ben ik bloet, 't lijf rust in d' aanti klock, mijn ziel in Abrams schoot. Als Gods Basagne slaat, mijn lijf uit d'aard opstaat, en ook ten Hemel gaat".

Anna Haijckens overleed in het kraambed van haar jongste dochter.
