In 1778 was de boerderij 9 te Duurswoude van Corneliske Sybolts Frieswijk, weduwe van Wybe Sytses. Deze Corneliske was een zuster van Sieuwke Sybolts, de grootmoeder van Roel Douwes. Hem was de boerderij aanbeerfd van vrouwszijde, nl. Fokje Douwes, dochter van ene Douwe Roels. Deze Douwe Roels was in 1698 al bezitter van de boerderij. In 1798 was de plaats in bezit van Sybolt Arendz Frieswijk en in 1818 van Roel Douwes Frieswijk.
