    De 26-jarige H. Fritsma uit Sneek is om het leven gekomen,, toen hij zondagavond aan de Engelse zuidkust in Kent tussen Ashford en Faversham met een Auster-vliegtuigje neerstortte.
    Zijn metgezel, de heer A. Bottema uit Appingedam, evenals de heer Fritsma ongehuwd, is met brandwonden in het ziekenhuis te Canterbury opgenomen.
    De vliegers wargen woensdag op de Yorkshire Air Club aangekomen. Zondag vertrokken ze naar Oostende, maar door de mist wilden ze proberen op een vliegveld te Kent te landen. Hierbij is hun machine neergestort. Het vliegtuig brandde totaal uit.
    De verwondingen van de heer Bottema schijnen niet levensgevaarlijk te zijn.
    De heer Fritsma, die werkzaam was bij zijn vader, de garagehouder Fritsma te Sneek, was met vacantie. De vader van het slachtoffer is gisteren naar Engeland vertrokken.
