Bommenede is een voormalig dorp, voormalige heerlijkheid en voormalige gemeente in de provincie Zeeland, op het schiereiland en in de gemeente Schouwen-Duiveland. Het was een zelfstandige gemeente t/m 3-4-1866. Per 4-4-1866 over naar gemeente Zonnemaire, in 1961 over naar gemeente Brouwershaven, in 1997 over naar gemeente Schouwen-Duiveland.

- Hoewel Bommenede omringd werd door Zeeuwse eilanden, behoorde het lange tijd tot Holland (en daarbinnen tot de heerlijkheid Voorne), aangezien de Sonnemere, de stroom die het eiland scheidde van de overige eilanden, werd beschouwd als de grens tussen Holland en Zeeland. Het was dus een Hollandse enclave in Zeeland. Pas in 1687 is dit gebied aan Zeeland overgedragen.

- Onder het dorp Bommenede viel ook de buurtschap Bloois.
