Hun eerste kind wordt dan ook gedoopt in een protestants kerkje in Neerbosch.
Peter, de één na jongste zoon wordt Nederlands Hervormd gedoopt.
De jongste zoon wordt door de Dominicanen gedoopt.
De anderen zijn waarschijnlijk gedoopt door katholieke priesters die regelmatig door de streek rondtrokken ondanks het verbod op katholieke dopen.
