Ten tijde van het opstellen van de ‘Rotlijsten’ van Oldebroek in 1825 woont Egbert Rooke in de wijk ’t Zand, het deel van Oldebroek gelegen tegen de gemeentegrens met Zalk, op huisnummer B 46-k. Egbert is daar waarschijnlijk erkzaam
als boerenknecht en woont er met zijn vrouw Teune, hun circa driejarige in Zalk geboren zoon Jan en hun pasgeboren dochter Gerritje. Egbert bezit zelf geen vee.
Eigenaar van B 46 is Dirk Boeve, die tevens hoofdbewoner is. Dirk Boeve woont daar dan met zijn vrouw, drie zonen van onder de 18 en vijf dochters (alle acht ongehuwd).
Dirk bezit op dat moment drie koeien van +2 jaar en twee koeien van –2 jaar en een varken.
Zowel het gezin Rooke als het gezin Boeve is Nederlands Hervormd
