Miedema bouwde voor de "Oostdongeradeel" een lichtaggregaat. Hierdoor was het mogelijk elektrische boordlichten te voeren, de kajuit te verlichten en beschikte men over een goed los- en laadlicht. Dit laatste kwam ook goed te pas bij het varen.

De "Oostdongeradeel" werd in 1940 verkocht voor Fl. 5000,00.
Paulus Meinderts Fennema was tot overlijden kerkvoogd.
