Notitie bij Bauke: Na zijn huwelijk in 1916 is hij vertrokken met zijn gezin naar Weert (Limburg). Ca. 1923 vestigde hij zich in Harlingen alwaar hij in de gemeenteraad zat voor de SDAP. Ook richtte hij daar mede de Cooperatie op. Rond 1926 vertrok hij naar Rotterdam en woonde aldaar respectievelijk in de Vondenstr, in de Brinkpoort en in de Olmendaal.Op 29-04-1933 vertrok hij naar Amsterdam en werkte daar bij de direkte belastingen als assistent. Hij woonde daar respectievelijk op Adm.de Ruyterweg 355-2hoog;(1933); 26-04-1934 op Nr460-2hoog;op 29-10-1937 Nr509-huis, ( Bron:Gem archief Amsterdam).
In 1945 vertrok hij naar Leeuwarden. Na het overlijden van Beppe Akke (11-11-1951) bleef hij in de Camminghastraat wonen. In 1959-1960 verhuisde hij naar de Steijnstraat. Na enige jaren vestigde hij zich bij zijn dochter Ans (fam van Vegten) op de Admiraal de Ruiterweg 509 hs te Amsterdam alwaar hij op 02-03-1972 is overleden.

Beroepen: Timmerman/Rijksambtenaar/journalist (Gemeente-raadslid van Harlingen, in de periode 1920-1925, voor de SDAP.Hij was voorzitter van de Ambtenarenbond en oprichter van de Cooperatie. Na een periode in Rotterdam te hebben gewerkt is hij op eigen verzoek in 1933 overgeplaatst naar Amsterdam (direkte belastingen). Na zijn pensionering vestigde hij zich in 1945 in Leeuwarden en was actief als journalist (later hoofdredacteur) van Frysk en Fry.)
