Hij voer als kapitein o.a. op het kofschip "Johanna Margaretha" (van A. Salm jr. te Amsterdam van 1830-1845) dat na verkoop aan J. Teengs Telting te Edam werd herdoopt tot "de Vereeniging" (1846).
