HALL - Carolyn M. Hall, age 72 of East Dundee, IL, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on February 7, 1937 in Salem, NJ. She was the daughter of Homer and Lyndel (nee Berry) Morris. Carolyn was a seven year resident of the Dundee area, a former resident of Lombard and a 14 year resident of her most favorite place on earth, Door County, WI. In her retirement, Carolyn enjoyed bowling, water aerobics, fishing, quilting and needle work and her beloved Chicago White Sox and Greenbay Packers. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in West Dundee and a member of the church's SOS group. While serving in the United States Army, she met her future husband, Bruce E. Hall. They were married on January 5, 1957. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years; Bruce; their children, Debra (Bill) Tolsma of East Grand Rapids, MI; Steven (Rita) Hall of Algonquin, and Nancy (Wayne) Swartz of Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Eric, Alison, Randy, CJ, Michael, Katherine and Kaitlin; and her two brothers, Ray "Bud" (Beverly) Morris of FL and Chuck Morris of NJ; and her sister-in-law, Shirley (Steve) Cornell of Crystal Lake, IL. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Homer Morris, Jr. Family and friends will meet for funeral services on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main St. in West Dundee. The Revs. Steven Woita and Phillip Baerwolf will co-officiate. Burial will be held in the Trininty Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy, IA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Wednesday at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School Athletic Program (in care of Steve Hall); 5 S. Van Buren St. East Dundee, IL 60118.
