In deze verzameling blijkt het aantal gerapporteerde sterfgevallen voor 1970slechts ongeveer 8% van het werkelijke aantal te bedragen en voor 1971 is het aantal ongeveer 50% van het werkelijke aantal. In 1972 werd een bijna volledige rapportage gerealiseerd in heel Frankrijken zijn territoria. Terwijl de meeste geboorte- en overlijdensplaatsen in Frankrijk liggen, zijn er meer dan 2,5 miljoen records in deze verzameling van personen die in andere landen zijn geboren of gestorven -- met buurlanden en buurlanden (zoals België, Duitsland, Spanje, Italië en Polen) en landen die voormalige Franse koloniën waren (zoals Algerije, Marokko, Tunesië, Madagaskar en Vietnam) die het meest voorkomen.
