Bij vonnis van de Arondissements-rechtbank te 's-Gravenhage van 22 januari 1920 is Louis Th. A
Meijs Junior, koopman en winkelier, wonende te Leiden aan de Doezastraat 33-35, verklaard in
staat van faillisement met benoeming van de Edelachtbare Heer Mr. J.A.E. van Rhede van der Kloot,
rechter in genoemde rechtbank tot rechter-commissaris en van Mr. A.W.J. van Vrijberghe de Coningh
tot curator.
Op 28 november 1947 veroordeelde het Bijzonder Gerechtshof te 's-Gravenhage, L . Th. A. Meijs tot
8 jaar gevangenisstraf met aftrek van voorarrest. Hij had als NSB'er gedurende de bezetting de
directeurs-functie uitgeoefend bij het Gewestelijk Arbeidsbureau. Als zodanig had hij meegewerkt
het vijandelijk oorlogspotentieel te vergroten, doordat hij de maatregelen van de
"Arbeitseinsatz" straf liet uitvoeren. Tegen dit vonnis is hij op 14 juni 1948 in beroep gegaan
bij de Bijzondere Raad Cassatie. De procureur fiscaal concludeerde tot verwerping van het beroep.
Ludovicus is naar Luxemburg vertrokken en verkocht daar prefabricated woonhuizen.
