They had three sons, Thomas, K.G. [1st Lord Stanley], Richard [Archdeacon of Chester], and Edward [Archdeacon of Chester], and two daughters, '''Alice (wife of Thomas Dutton, Esq., and John Wolton)''' and Isabel (wife of John Warren, Esq.). In 1414 he and his wife, Elizabeth, obtained a papal indult to choose their confessor. He fought at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415 with eight men-at-arms and 24 archers. He was present at the capture of Rouen in Aug. 1418. SIR JOHN STANLEY died 27 Nov. 1437. His widow, Elizabeth, was a legatee in the 1444 will of her sister, Agnes Sherburne.
