Albertje Letter emigreerde aan het begin van de vorige eeuw naar Amerika. Geheel alleen als jong meisje...absoluut dapper dus.

Zij is daar getrouwd, heeft een dochter gekregen en heeft via

het verkopen van ijsjes en zuinig zijn

een winkeltje kunnen kopen en het all American dream

gebracht tot eigenaresse van een aantal supermarkets.

Eb is eenmalig, na de tweede wereldoorlog terug geweest in Nederland (1947) samen met haar dochter Marie.

Op enig moment, ik denk begin vijftiger jaren kwam het bericht gekregen dat Eb

in Amerika was overleden.

In plusminus 1980 is de dochter van tante Eb, Marie, in Nederland geweest en heb ik haar ontmoet.

Later heb ik haar nog telefonisch gesproken, maar dat contact

is verder verloren gegaan.
