Koopman en ontvanger, lid van de grietenij van Achtkarspelen, in de Franse tijd patriot, woonde te Drogeham en Twijzel. Overleden: 27 aug 1820 in Twijzel. Zoon van Pieter Sipkes en Emke Romkes.
