Op 21 augustus 1869 begon Koos samen met zijn vrouw Kaatje Peterse een herenmodezaak in de Jacob Gerritstraat 14 te Delft.

De ondergeteekende heeft de eer zijne Stadgenooten door deze ter kennis te brengen, dat hij op Zaturdag 21 dezer, zijne Affaire zal openen, bestaande in: HOEDEN, PETTEN, OVERHEMDEN, HALFHEMDEN, BOORDEN, MANCHETTEN, COLS, MANCHETKNOOPEN enz. Door het leveren van soliede goederen, tegen billijke prijzen, hoopt hij het vertrouwen en de gunst zijner Stadgenooten waardig te worden.
Ook beveelt hij minzaam aan tot het vermaken en repareren van bovengenoemde Artikelen.
