Is door een granaatontploffing om het leven gekomen. Twee jongens van ongeveer negen en twaalf jaar gooiden "voor de grap" een handgranaat in een vuurtje dat Engelse soldaten in de straat gemaakt hadden om hun eten te koken. Hij raakte zwaar gewond en stierf nog dezelfde dag.
