Floris "De Zwarte" (*ca. 1110 +Utrecht 7-11-1133); streed als aanvoerder der Westfriezen eerst tegen zijn broer Dirk, sloot vrede; bezette vervolgens Utrecht en verjoeg de bisschop, maar werd vermoord in een hinderlaag door Godfried van Cuijk van Werl-Arnsberg en diens broer Herman (beiden elders in deze kwartierstaten te vinden), vermoedelijk vanwege Floris' amoureuze liaison met een nicht van Godfried.
