Notes about Otto Eilt Stoppelmoor

My father Donald H. Day recalls that when he was a young boy, Otto his uncle, owned and operated a starter repair shop in Webster City, Hamilton Co., IA., before he moved to South Dakota.--Reginald Day

5/2002 letter from Eugene Stoppelmoor: In Wolsey South Dakota dad ran an Electric rewind shop where he rewound starters, generators, and electric motors. He never made big money but he raised 9 of us. I call that a success . I know it would be hard to do today. Mom was the calm one, she was the one we went to if we had a problem. It seemed she always had the right answer.
Gerald said he had the same middle name Ailt as his father and grandfather.
Also from Eugene: My fathers middle name is spelled Eilt on my birth certificate.
Name Spelled Eilt on draft registration and middle iniatial E. on 1930 census I am therefore using the middle name Eilt.
