Schout van Alblasserdam 1615-1641. Secretaris 1604, 1610, 1613-1616; rentmeester

van de heerlijkheid Alblasserdam; gaarmeester van de verpondingen 1611, 1613-1616;

baljuw van 'den Hove ende Hooge Vijerschare van Suijthollant' 1637; leenman van

Oost-Barendrecht 1619-1643 (3,5 morgen); gaarmeester Molenaarsgraaf 1611 (een

gaarmeester was een belastingpachter, een incasseerder van belastingen). Bij verpondingen

over 1626, 1627 en 1638 aangeslagen voor een waarde van resp. f 4000, f 4000

en f 3000. Overleden voor 1643 te Alblasserdam.

Leden van het geslacht van Asperen bekleedden vanaf omstreeks 1604 tot circa 1724

te Alblasserdam functies als die van schout, secretaris, bode, sluismeester en notaris.

Daarna werden deze functies vervuld door de familie Pijl, die in de vrouwelijke lijn

aan de Van Asperen's was verwant. Al deze Van Asperen's zijn nakomelingen van de

hier genoemde Lenaert Beerents van Asperen.
