Was scheepsbouwmeester. Op 16-04-1924 van Sliedrecht naar Harlingen en woonde aan de Z Haven 48, op 16-4-1925 naar N Haven 53 te Harlingen. Op 13-4-1926 naar Strevelsweg 21 d te Rotterdam, op 10-8-192
6 naar Weimansweg 19 Rotterdam. Op 21-12-1927 ging hij naar Ismaïla Egypte en terug op 19-01-1928 en op 4-7-1928 naar Boorewaterstr. 187 te Merxem bij Antwerpen (B).
Na het faillissement is hij gaan werken bij de Fa A. Bos Pzn te Dordrecht, een baggerbedrijf. Met een zoon heeft hij gewerkt aan het Suezkanaal. Die zoon is op 30 jarige leeftijd overleden.
Daarna heeft hij een werfje gehad in Maastricht, vervolgens vertrok hij naar Scheepswerf De Groot & Van Vliet te Papendrecht, waarna hij bedrijfsleider werd bij de Holland.
Was scheepsbouwmeester van beroep.
Op 21-12-1927 vertrok vader Gerrit naar Ismaïla (Egypte), vanwaar hij op 19-01-1928 terugkeerde.
