Notes about Adriaan Peeters Roosen

Onder de naam Adriaen soone Peter Cornelis Roos getrouwd voor schepenen van Oisterwijk op 11 februari 1649 met Maijken, gedoopt Oisterwijk 22 aug 1624 als dochter van Gerrit Wouter Rijsbroeck bij Mechteld Jan Tiberis van Beurden. De bruidegom trouwt met consent des voorschreven Peters sijne vaeder terwijl de bruid wordt geassisteert met Cornelis haere broeder, die verklaart toestemming van zijn vader te hebben verkregen. De echtelieden wonen volgens de akte in het gehucht Carchoven.24 Uit een gepubliceerde stamboom blijkt dat Mechteld van Beurden een dochter was van Jan de Jonge van Beurden uit Tilburg bij Bartholda Joost Cornelis van de Loo.25 Haar oom Aryaen van Beurden had in 1607 de windmolen Ter Nedervonder in Oisterwijk gekocht van wijlen Wouter Jans van der Veken.26

Adriaan is waarschijnlijk molenaar geweest, twee van zijn kinderen noemen zich immers Mulders. Het bewijs hiervoor is nog niet gevonden. Wel valt op dat zijn naaste familie veel molenaars telt. Zijn schoonvader was molenaar op de Kerkhovense molen in Oisterwijk, net als diens zonen Jan en Willem.
