Notes about Luke CHURCH

Principal Inhabitants of that city, as a Freeman. Luke and Ann had 10 children, 5 of whom survived and
was mentioned in the will of Luke. James Luke was the last born and was about 8 when his father died.
Luke and Ann were obviously very wealthy. Ann had inherited from her uncle, Richard EVANS who died
in 1771. When Luke died, he left his 4 youngest children (Edward, Matilda Ann, Caroline Mary and James
Luke) each 750 pounds to be inherited - in the case of the girls, when they turn 21 or marry and in the case
of the boys, when they turn 25, if they gave up all the right and title to the properties mentioned in the
will. Charles William, the eldest surviving son thus inherited all the properties
