    Mgr. Henricus Alphonsus Brouwers, geboren te Tilburg op 1 januari 1843 als zoon van de wollenstoffenfabrikant Joannes Brouwers en Antonia Kooijen. In 1869 werd hij priester gewijd en was vanaf 1870 kapelaan te Drunen.In 1877 werd hij rector van het Theresianenklooster te Den Bosch en indatzelfde jaar ook prefect van het Seminarie St. Michielsgestel. Zijn loopbaan vervolgde hij als secretaris van het bisdom ´s-Hertogenbosch, voordat hij op 29 september 1890 pastoor werd van de parochie Korvel te Tilburg. Twee jaar later werd hij plebaan van de St. Jans-kathedraal en kanunnik van het Kathedraal-Kapittel van de St. Jan in Den Bosch. Voorts provisor van het Seminarie en in 1902 deken van het denaat Den Bosch. H.A. Brouwers overleed in Den Bosch op 7 februari 1912.
