33959841132  Boudewijn IV “met de Schone Baard” van Vlaanderen, geb. ca.975, ovl. 30-05-1035, begr. Gent in de St.Pieter, graaf v. Vlaanderen (30-03-988) aanvankelijk onder voogdij van zijn moeder en stiefvader. Reorganiseerde zijn bewind door instelling van enkele burggraafschappen. Probeerde vervolgens zijn machtsgebied naar het zuidoosten te vergroten door zich meester te maken van Valenciennes (1006) maar werd gedwongen dit op te geven (1007). Later door keizer Hendrik II ermee beleend alsmede met de Vier ambachten en Zeeland bewesten Schelde (1012), zodat voor de graven van Vlaanderen een dubbele vazaliteit ontstaat: Kroon-Vlaanderen en Rijks-Vlaanderen. Geh. ca.1005 met:
