0512672  Ocker Johannsz. Besemer, geb. ca.1330 Esslingen, Duitsland, ovl. ca.1400 Dordrecht, wijnhandelaar, vestigde zich ca.1355 te Dordrecht. Hij kwam uit een sinds ca.1200 vermelde familie van zeer welgestelde wijnbouwers op de hellingen v.d. Neckar. Geh. met:

Ocker is the ancestor of all Dutch Besemers. Esslingen from charters to reconstruct 3 generations, starting around 1200. The Besemers wealthy growers would have been with extensive possessions on the slopes of the Neckar. Around 1355 Ocker would come to Dordrecht to establish a winery with supply over the Neckar and the Rhine from Esslingen and surroundings. They drank in the Middle Ages rather light German - predominantly white - wine, then the heavier French wines. The wine trade was Dordrecht already at the end of the thirteenth century a "grand commerce", reinforced by the staple right, which Dordrecht in 1299 by Jan van Avesnes obtained, for all goods brought about Lek and Merwede. The wine trade are much Dordtse families become very wealthy, probably the Besemers.
