Va    Johannes Hendrik Elderson, (Uit IVa.), geboren op 18-08-1878 te Rotterdam, overleden tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Stoffenverkoper en “bon-vivant”. Diende in zijn jonge jaren bij de marine. Liet, zo wil de overlevering, zich als “dans- en fietsleraar” enige tijd onderhouden door de grootmoeder van Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven. Wonend o.a. in de Jacob Catsstraat, de Warande en de Zoutziedersstraat te Rotterdam en in 1906 samen met zijn latere eerste vrouw te Duisburg, Duitsland. Huwde drie maal. 1e huwelijk op 09-01-1907 te Rotterdam met Jacoba Hendrina Steenmeijer, geboren op 28-07-1880 te Kralingen, dochter van Johannes Steenmeijer, tapper, en Elisabeth Maria Hoffmann.
