Gedoopt door Ds. J.K. Wiersma in de Gereformeerde kerk Langegracht
Willem Hendrik van Haselen studeerde te Utrecht aan de
Veeartsenijschool en slaagde als veearts. Hij oefende zijn praktijk als
dierenarts te Amersfoort jaren achtereen uit en verrichtte tevens de
Gemeentelijke vleeschkeuring.
Toen te Amersfoort een gemeentelijk slachthuis (abattoir) werd
gebouwd werd hij als directeur benoemd. Op 1 januari 1934 legde
hij deze functie neer en werd op 66 jarigen leeftijd gepensioneerd.
