Notes about Jan Mondria

Jan had samen met zijn broers een kuiperij die tot 1961 heeft bestaan.
Hoofdbestandeel van het kuiperwerk omvatte botervaten. toen echter de melkfabrieken hun boter gingen verpakken in houten kisten en later in kartonnen dozen zakte dit deel van de broodwinning in. Inmiddels was de firma terug gevallen naar 2 broers omdat Jan in 1955 was overleden. Men ging steeds meer over tot de kuipwerken.
Toen dit ook minder werd ging Arend als kuipersknecht in Zwolle werken, en was op Zaterdag nog actief in Heerde.
Toen Herman ziek werd en het zware kuiperswerk niet meer aankon, beperkten de werkzaamheden zich voornamelijk tot reparatiewerken, dat Arend nog op zaterdag verrichtte.
