Berend Logtenberg voelde zich niet thuis in de Ger.Kerk.
In 1907 schreef hij zich in samen met Arend v Olst bij de Chr.Ger.kerk in Apeldoorn, waarheen de reis per fiets werd gemaakt.
Arend v Olst had er meermalen een voettocht van 4 uur voor over.
Later werd er gekerkt in de woning van R.van Putten, de schoonvader van Hendrikje Logtenberg.
Berend Logtenberg en Arend v Olst kunnen we de stichters van de Chr.Ger.Kerk noemen.
