Als zoon van landbouwer Willem Laureijsen en Petronella Bekkers werd Cornelis Laureijsen op 24 juli 1793 te Goirle gedoopt.
Zijn overlijdensbericht is nooit ontvangen, maar zijn dood is door zijn ouders blijkbaar nooit aanvaard. In een boekje van de Goirlese
pastoor F. Boelens, dat de namen bevat van die zielen welkers naamen staen op het sondagsgebed, komen in 1822 Willem Laureijsen
voor en zijn dochter Peternel, maar niet de naam van de vermiste zoon Cornelis.
