Jacobus van Iersel was timmerman te Enschot en de zoon van Jan van Iersel en Aldegunda de Beer. Ook Maria Anna gaat in Enschot wonen en is daar winkelierster. In 1857 maakt zij samen met haar man een testament. Haar dubbel woonhuis aan de kerkstraat in Goirle verkoopt zij in 1863 voor 500 gulden aan Nicolaas Philipsen. Zij is op dat moment al weduwe van Jacobus van Iersel.
In 1822, bij zijn huwelijk, is Jacobus timmerman wonend te Enschot.
In 1828, bij de geboorte van dochter Adriana is Jacobus winkelier en timmerman te berkel-Enschot.
