De historicus A.J.L. van Bokhoven schrijft in 1961 in het tijdschrift De Brabantse Leeuw: "Ik durf hem te vereenzelvigen met Hannart die op 26 jan. 1339 met Huge Hannartsz. zijn vader en Hille diens vrouw en met Willem en Herman zijn broers, een erfcijns van 4 pond op hun hofstede te Hedikhuizen vestigden, te behoeve van Jan Proper (A.K.P. regest, nr. 1). Het lijkt mij tevens zeer waarschijnlijk, dat de geslachtsnaam 'Van Hille' 'Van Hedikhuizen' is geweest. In 1334 wordt n.l. Hildegonde Willems dochter 'Van Edichusen' met 'Hughen Hannaire' sone haren momber, beleend met 15 morgen in de Welsche Hoeve, welk land voormelde Willem gekocht had van heer Hugemans 'wijf' van Ghiessen (H.L. nr. 22, f. 66).
