Notes about Marcelis Otto van Vaerle

Andere kinderen van Marcelis van Vaerle en Catharina Peters zijn : Jan Marceliszn van Vaerle, en heer en meester Otto Varlervus, kapelaan te Sint Michielsgestel (1608-1632), daarna pastoor te Ravenstein (1632-1636) waar hij in 1636 aan een besmettelijke ziekte overleed. Hij was in 1633 reeds bijna blind. Een kleinzoon van Marcelis heet ook Otto, en hij was de zoon van de drossaard van Moergestel. Hij werd in de herberg c.q. brouwerij 'In de drie Zwaantjes' van zijn schoonvader Embert Smits bijna dodelijk geveld door een steek ter rechter zijde 'van sijn ruggestrongh', aan deze Otto toegebracht door iemand uit Moergestel toen die op 7 juni 1693 ten huize van Marten van Boxtel 'een keers op het uijtgaen uijtgeblasen heeft'.
