Bij de doop van zoon Abram woonden Johannes en Antonetta in de "Sackdraagersteeg", tegenwoordig de Zakkendragersteeg, in hartje Utrecht. In diverse aktes wordt zijn naam geschreven als HORUM, maar in zijn trouwakte heet hij gewoon STORM. Zijn ouders, zoals hier genoemd, zijn enigszins twijfelachtig, want hij wordt blijkbaar rooms-katholiek gedoopt, maar trouwt met de gereformeerde Antonetta, en dat is best opmerkelijk in die tijd?

Daarom is het waarschijnlijker dat er een gemiste connectie is tussen deze Johannes Storm en zijn eventuele grootouders, Abraham Storm en Anna Catharina Hoos (Hoes), die trouwden op 1 juni 1696 te Utrecht. Echter, die naam Abraham kan ook via de tak Godé in de familie zijn gekomen, via de grootvader van Johannes.

Abraham Storm is gedoopt op 4-7-1667 te Utrecht en begraven op 13-11-1737 te Utrecht. Hij trouwde op 1-6-1696 te Utrecht met Anna Catharina Hoos (Hoes), gedoopt op 1-9-1674 te Utrecht. Haar vader heette Casper Danielsz Hoos, begraven te Utrecht op 21-5-1716, en hij was getrouwd met Clara Walters van Wesel, begraven op 31-10-1726 te Utrecht. Abraham was de zoon van Jochum Jansz Storm, geboren rond 1635 te Delft, getrouwd met Elisabeth Jans Vermeulen. Zij is begraven te Utrecht op 27-12-1719, en was toen al weduwe.
