Beroep: glasblazer. Komt rond 1670 naar Nederland, op uitnodiging van Hendrick Huyck, de toekomstig schoonvader van zijn beide zoons. De reden voor zijn komst is het feit dat de import van glas uit Frankrijk (indertijd de belangrijkste producent) is gestopt vanwege de aanhoudende oorlogen en conflicten tussen de Republiek en Frankrijk. Er zijn veel ondernemers die in dit gat in de markt springen, o.a. door het werven van buitenlandse glasblazers zoals Nicolao Pallada.

Zijn oudste zoon Juane (Johan) is een beroemd glasblazer, en wordt op uitnodiging van Frederik, koning van Pruisen, hoofd van de koninklijke glasblazerij in Berlijn. Daar vlucht hij na enkele jaren, beschuldigd van oplichterij.
