Achternaam ook geschreven als THIJS en THIJSSEN. Er zijn diverse vermeldingen in de archieven van vrouwen met een naam die klinkt als Margreta (Ma)thijsse. Er is een Margareta die in 1645 en 1647 te Oudenbosch een kind krijgt van ene Faramondus Franciscus de Witte, en een Margrieta Tijs die in 1654 trouwt te Oudenbosch met ene Reijnier van Hessel. Tussen 1647 en 1654 wordt ook 'onze' Margreta genoemd als de moeder van de kinderen van Adriean Eemans te Hoeven. Het is onduidelijk in hoeverre deze drie verschillende vermeldingen betrekking hebben op één en dezelfde vrouw?
