De meest waarschijnlijke juiste naam is HUSSELMAN, die meer voorkomt in de buurt van Rijsoord, niet ver van Sliedrecht. Maar ook de voornaam lijkt hier niet juist geschreven. Er bestaat wel een Maaijke Janse Husselman, en haar geboorte- en vooroudergegevens zijn hier verwerkt. Een sterk bewijs voor deze stelling is het gegeven dat de naam Husselman pas één generatie daarvoor in Nederland arriveert, met de Duitser Jan Husselman, afkomstig uit Xanten.
