Margriet erft in 1522 van haar ouders een huis en hof te Oirschot in de hertgang "van der Notelen". Ze draagt het diezelfde dag op aan haar broer Rutger Mathijs Gerit Mathijs Huyskens. In zijn testament vermaakt Rutger "die oude steede" ter Notelen weer aan zijn zuster. Na haar dood komt de stede aan de kinderen uit haar tweede huwelijk met Willem Eliaas Scilders.
