Haringcarspel of Haringkarspel is een heerlijkheid in Noord-Holland. Maar in de archieven wordt haar naam ook gespeld als HARENKARSPEL, gelijk aan de huidige gemeente met die naam.

De naam (van) Haringcarspel komt al voor in een Utrechtse notariële akte van 09-11-1678, als de weduwe van Jacob Claessoon van Haringscarspel uitbetaald krijgt op haar obligaties. Op 20-11-1767 wordt bij notaris Van Vloten een akte opgemaakt voor 'Simon Haringkarspel, zoon van Cornelis Haringkarspel en Johanna van der Gronden, in leven echtelieden', die twee losrenteobligaties van de provincie Utrecht overdraagt aan de dames Cornelia en Carolina Smissaert. Wellicht was deze Simon degene die als predikant werkte te Loenen aan de Vecht: "Simon Haringkarspel 1747-1753 Adj Predt daarna Predikt, Emiritus 1784."
