Het bestaan van deze Petrus is nog niet uit de akten bevestigd, maar uit het patroniem van Michiel weten we dat diens vader zo heette. De vermoedelijke vader (maar niet bevestigd) is Michiel Peeters van Gilse, woonachtig op het Ginnekeneinde, die op 26 april 1647 te Breda trouwde met Margriet Janssen van den Bosch, afkomstig uit Roosendaal, maar ten tijde van het huwelijk wonend in de Bredase Karrestraat.
