Bij hun huwelijk werden zowel Jan als bruid Anna genoemd als "woonende te alhier", zijnde Amersfoort. Ze kregen zes kinderen: Zebilla (1734), Johanna (1736), Evert (1738), Hendrik (1743), Sara (1745) en Elisabeth (1752).

Op 26 april 1737 schrijft het stadsbestuur van Amersfoort een 'Akte van Indemniteit' uit voor Jan van Emenes met zijn echtgenote Anna van Roon en hun kinderen Sibilla, oud 3 jaar en Johanna van Emenes, oud 1 jaar; beide geboren en gedoopt te Amersfoort; daarin wordt benoemd dat zij te allen tijde mogen terugkeren naar Amersfoort, na hun vertrek op deze datum naar Utrecht.
