Al heel vroeg in de geschiedenis van Streefkerk wordt er melding gemaakt van Die Bot: Gerard Geradszn die Bot (1391) en zijn zoon Zeger Gerardszn die Bot (1404) en diens zoon Floris Zegerszn die Bot (1462). Zij zijn echter geen inwoners van Streefkerk, toen nog Streeflant geheten, maar waren poorters (=inwoners) van Dordrecht.

De lenen van de Lek in Streefkerk:
Aan het einde van de 14de eeuw wordt Zeger Gerardszn die Bot vermeld als beleend met een half vierendeel (nummer 62) aan de westzijde van de leenman. Dit leen is afkomstig van zijn vader Gerard Gerard Moenszn, vermeld in 1391. Op 25 juli 1462 wordt zijn zoon Floris Zegerszn hiervoor vermeld.
